First Birthday⚓︎
Dear Sienna,
It's really difficult to wrap my head around the fact that you're already a year old. It seems like it was just the other day that we brought you home from the hospital. And now here you are - a whole year old. As with Jackson, I wish I had written you more letters in your first year than I did. I suppose its the quality of them that counts though.
For the record, you are by far the most easygoing baby in human history. I'm not sure how, but since you were 3 months old, you've slept through the entire night consistently. I don't think anyone believes your mom or I whenever we tell them that. You also have a great appetite, you nap well, you don't complain about much, and you have an amazing sense of humor. It doesn't get much better than that.
You've also accomplished so much in your first year. From adjusting to the world to learning to walk and communicate, those are no small feats. I find myself often being inspired by you, and that inspiration makes me want to be better each and every day.
I've been so lucky to be working from home these last few years. Watching you and Jackson grow up into amazing people has been the greatest joy of my life. Now here you are - a whole year old and ready to learn and take on whatever comes your way. Your mom and I couldn't be more proud of you. You're an amazing and smart girl, and I know you're going to go far in life and do wonderful things. Your mom and I are going to make sure we're there for all of it.
Happy and healthy first birthday, baby girl. I love you more than you know.
Always and forever,
Dad
