Third Birthday⚓︎
Dear Sienna,
Over the last year, you've become such an amazing kid. You've settled into your day-to-day with going to daycare (or school as you call it), and when you aren't there, you're running circles around the rest of us. You're sassy, sweet, tough as nails, while also being sensitive and thoughtful. How could I possibly ask for anything more?
This past year has been a blur. I feel like you've gone from getting your bearings with running and talking to now speaking in full sentences and getting into everything. You and Jackson are doing nearly everything together - playing, eating, running around, etc. Anything that he wants to do, you want to do it too. Anything that you want to do, you just go for it. I admire you so much for this quality.
You're recognizing emotions more and more, and for some reason, you love asking everyone if they're frustrated. It's adorable, and I love it. You also ask everyone at dinner one-by-one "how was work?" and of course, adjust it to "how was school?" for Jackson. We ask the same of you, and no matter what the day was like, your answer is always "good!"
I've said this before, and I don't ever see myself not saying it, but the greatest joy in my life is watching you and Jackson grow up. You both can be a handful sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm proud of everything you've accomplished so far, and I can't wait to see all that you continue to do. You're amazing, baby girl (even though you don't like when I call you that because you're a "big kid"); don't ever change.
Happy birthday, sweetheart. I love you so much.
Always and forever,
Dad
